What does it really mean “To Think Outside The Box”?…and does the box always have to be a perfect cube?

People tell us to “Think Outside the Box.”

Only then do we realize that our lives are bound by some sort of box and there exists the possibility of an external reality.

But can we really “Think Outside the Box”?

Or are we just stretching the box to make our reality bigger to incorporate more of that “external reality”?

My illustration of “Thinking Outside the Box”:

It certainly looks messy. (But it also looks pretty awesome.)

Is this constructivism?

One response to “What does it really mean “To Think Outside The Box”?…and does the box always have to be a perfect cube?

I believe we can think outside the box if we refuse to accept that our reality is nothing but rigidity.

Everyone has a different way of thinking outside the box, I’m sure. For me, it’s busting out of the box and thinking to all the space in the world and beyond–at least I’d like to pretend I can.

    Nice blog.
